Catherine Mary Holtkamp, 60, of Coralville, IA and formerly of Fort Madison, IA, passed away unexpectedly at 8:03 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA. She was born on September 20, 1965 in Fort Madison, IA to Paul John & Bernice Marie Cox Holtkamp. She was a foreign exchange student in Norway and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Coralville, IA and enjoyed reading, animals, knitting and especially her beloved cat, Tank.
Cathy is survived by: 8-siblings: James (Jackie) Holtkamp of Burlington, IA, Ann (Keith) Cumalander of Montrose, CO, Mary (Larry) Hawes of Argyle, IA, Margaret (Raymond) Robbins of Fort Madison, IA, Theresa (Ted) Moeller of St. Paul, IA, Rose Holtkamp of Windsor, CO, Patricia (Robert) Walker of Fort Madison, IA & John (Christie) Holtkamp of Canby, OR and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison. A memorial mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. Burial will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Cathy’s memory.
