Cynthia L. “Cindy” Yaeger, 80, of West Point, IA, passed away peacefully at 1:38 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2023 at River Valley Place in Fort Madison.  She was born on February 24, 1943 to Douglas & Wanda Bonar Riddle.  She was a production supervisor at Champion Spark Plug in Burlington with 47 years of service, retiring in 2013.  Cindy was a lover of life.  Her smile and laugh was contagious.  She lived for her two beautiful granddaughters, travelling anywhere she could to watch them barrel race.  She spent countless hours planting flowers and perfecting an already perfect yard.  She was truly talented.  Finally, everyone knew Cindy was a dog lover!  She never went far without her best friends.  “Grandma Zip” is truly going to be missed.

Cindy is survived by:  1-son: Ron “Stubby” Stevenson of West Point, IA; 2-granddaughters: Scout (Mitch Coffey) Stevenson of West Point, IA & Bailey (Tanner) Kelch of Phoenix, AZ; 1-brother: Mark (Bonnie) Riddle of Burlington, IA & 1-sister: Jennifer (George) Cooper of Midland, TX.  She was preceded in death by:  her parents and 2-sons: Rick Stevenson & Mark Klock.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A gathering will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wever Fire Department. Burial will be at a later date in the Denmark Cemetery with her two sons. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Wever Fire Department and contributions may be left at the fire department during the gathering or mailed to: Ron Stevenson, 1293 295th Avenue, West Point, IA 52656.
