Garry H. Maxwell, 80, of Wever, IA, passed away at 12:20 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at his home.  He was born on October 23, 1942 in Bennington, VT to Dale & Beatrice LaBounty Maxwell.  He married Eva Louise Rutledge on January 6, 1968 in Warrenton, MO.  He was a truck driver for 40 years and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He attended First Baptist Church in Fort Madison and volunteered for Great River Hospice & Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  He enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with his family.

Garry is survived by: his wife: Eva Rutledge of Wever, IA; 3-daughters: Bobbie Collis of Fort Madison, IA, Angel Prince of East Galesburg, IL & Teresa (Jeff) Beal of Danville, IA; 9-grandchildren & 16-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 1-brother, Dalton.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Burial will be at Augusta Cemetery in Augusta, IA.
