Ilene J. DePriest, 75, of West Point, IA, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 10:25 AM at her home.
She was born on July 2, 1950 in Ft. Madison to Elbert and Betty Sanford Tripp. On April 25, 1977 she married Stephen DePriest in Nauvoo. Ilene was a member of Community of Christ Church. She worked in the baker at Hy-Vee, was a receptionist at Truck Repair and lastly Old Navy until she retired. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and shopping. Ilene loved her flowers and yardwork and spent countless hours mowing the front yard. She was an animal lover, especially her dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Steve DePriest of West Point; one daughter, Kara (Jeff) Strunk of St. Louis, MO; one son, Geoff (Jennifer) DePriest of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Josie, Hayden and Emme; one brother, Kevin (Colleen) Tripp of West Point. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David.
