Larry D. Rampy Sr, 86, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 10:28 PM at Birkwood Village in Ft. Madison.
He was born on May 7, 1939 in Edina, MO to Glen and Thelma Tyhurst Rampy.  Larry was a long-time truck driver for Walker Foods.  He married Norma Kelly and they later divorced.  Larry then married Betty Smith on September 9, 1988 in Hannibal, MO and she passed away on January 2, 2015.  He also opened a restaurant in Alaska and Lake of the Ozarks.  Larry was a custodian at the school in Laurie, MO where he loved reading to the kids while he was on his breaks.  He enjoyed woodworking and golfing.  Most of all Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and always had a huge smile on his face when he was with them.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa (Bryan) Kibby, Lori (Pep) Hernandez and Linda Martinez all of Ft. Madison; one son, Landon (Teresa) Rampy of West Point; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Larry Rampy Jr; two sisters; seven brothers and his grandson Nicholas.
Cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
