Owen Henry Rossman, 70, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away in his sleep on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at his home. Owen was born in a nursing home during a blizzard on February 20, 1955 in Hay Springs, NE to Rev. Calvin & Esther (Jensen) Rossman. Owen married Barbara Ann Johnston on June 17, 2024 in Fort Madison, IA. He worked for Rathbun Regional Water Association, for more than 30 years. Owen was a very dedicated worker. He was a Boy Scout and was very proud to be a member of the Order of the Arrow. He had a very laid back and dry sense of humor. Owen loved spending time with his grandsons.
Owen is survived by his wife, Barb Johnston; Step daughter, Jessica Johnston; Step grandsons, Austin Johnston & Jordan Cornic; Brother, Glen (Grace) Rossman and sister, Priscilla Schwartz. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Rossman.
