Patricia A. Hemmie, 77, of Ft. Madison passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
She was born on December 11, 1948 in Kilbourne, IA to Harold and Vi Rupley Sargeant Tweedy.  On July 22, 1967 Pat married Jerry Hemmie in Ft. Madison.  She worked at Iowa State Bank, IAAP, Dynacolor while in Texas and Sheaffer Pen where she retired after thirty four years of service.  Pat was a member of First Baptist Church.  She was an Elvis fan and enjoyed playing on her computer, her cat and playing cards of all kinds.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry of Ft. Madison; one son, Shane (Sandra) Hemmie of El Cajon, CA; one grandson, Bryce Lee Hemmie of El Cajon, CA; two sisters, Mary Lou (Denny) Dickey of Des Moines and Susan (Steve) Vogt of Peoria; one brother, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Don Tweedy and a half sister, Joan Hostetler.  
The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 20206 at 11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Steve Scott officiating.  The family will meet with friends from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
