Frances G. Hart, 93, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Birkwood Village in Ft. Madison.
She was born on September 25,1931 in West Point, IA to John M. & Ruby E. Dorothy Hart. Frances was a former member of the Ft. Madison Church of the Nazarene where she was involved being a church greeter and Sunday School Assistant. She was a member of Joy Baptist Church until her death. During her life Frances enjoyed going to church, watching TV and spending time with her family and friends. In her younger days others have said she probably baby-sat half of Ft Madison. Many people knew the Hart family from Happy Hollow of which Frances was the last after her son Tommy passed in 2009.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Tommy, three brothers, Johnny Hart, Kenneth Hart and Virgil Hart and three sisters, Mildred Bell, Mabel Hart and Marjorie Genck.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Earl Beal officiating. The visitation will be at 10:30 AM just prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
