Andrew “Dallas” Elfgen, Jr, 71, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 12:45 PM at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington Hospice House.
He was born on May 9, 1953 in Davenport to Andrew and Margaret Brentiss Elfgen, Jr.  Dallas married Mary Ann Tudor and they later divorced.  He then married Jodi Holland and they later divorced.  He was an over the road truck driver for many years until his retirement, always having his furry team driver by his side.   In his early years, he was on a pool league with the Donaldson family.  He loved to socialize and enjoyed his Busch Lights with his best friend, Dana at Vinnie’s. Dallas loved motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons.  He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, but most of all he loved his best friend, Missy.
Survivors include seven daughters, Melissa Elfgen and Mary Ellen Elfgen of Davenport, Sharon Cox of Ft. Madison, Karla Elfgen of Davenport, Andrea Burch of Missouri, Michelle King of Ft. Madison and Krystal Zeleny of Mt. Pleasant and his fur baby, Missy; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Donna Roe and Dorothy Henson of Davenport, Janet Henderson of Ft. Madison, Brenda Mullenix of Iowa City, Jodie Carlton of Davenport, Julie Carlton of Maquoketa, Raymond Carlton of Coralville,  Rose Carlton and Anna Claeys of Davenport and Louise Ballanger of LeClaire and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A visitation with the family present will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ft. Madison.  Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
