Bruce C. Yurth, 80, of Fort Madison, IA passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home.  He was born on November 3, 1944 in Fort Madison, IA to Martin & Wilma Coleman Yurth.  He married Geraldine “Gerri” Weldon on October 12, 1973 in Biggsville, IL.  He was an electrician at Fruehauf for 28 years and retired from Wabash as the supervisor of maintenance.  He enjoyed playing golf when he was younger and hanging out at the Fort Colony restaurant with his coffee buddies to gossip.  He loved all animals, especially his dog, Lexi, and liked to feed birds and squirrels at his home.   
Bruce is survived by: 9-children: Mandy Wells of Fort Madison, IA, Bill (Linda Doss) Merschbrock of Fort Madison, IA, Lori (Brian) Wilbert of Donnellson, IA, Michelle (Bill) White of West Point, IA, Tami (John) Gaines of Burlington, IA, Stacy (Mike) Willits of Savannah, GA, Chris Estel of Riverside, CA, Charlie (Elizabeth) Weldon of Texas & Angela Thomason of Blandinsville, IL; 14-grandchildren: Daniel, Matthew, Shelby, Ryan, Casi, Jami, Corwyn, Chance, Amanda, Michael, Teresa, Jason, Josh & Scott; numerous great grandchildren; 1-sister: Patty (Mark) Battenburg of Hendersonville, NC & 1-brother: Stanley (Miriam) Yurth of Hendersonville, NC.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, wife, 1-son: Bruce Yurth Jr, 1-grandson: Brandon & 1-sister: Kathy Mitacek.
