Candace L. Manka, 71, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away unexpectedly at 9:12 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison after suffering a stroke. She was born on March 24, 1954 in Nevada, IA to William C. & Patsy D. Good Freese. She married Michael Dean Manka on October 24, 1982 in Fort Madison, IA. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2021. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, cooking, crafting and her dog, Gus.
Candace is survived by: 1-daughter: Sam (Andrew) Cochran of Ankeny, IA; 1-son: Alex Manka of Fort Madison, IA; 1-granddaughter: Annie Cochran of Burlington, IA & 1-brother: Steve (Joyce) Freese of Cedar Rapids, IA. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband & 2-brothers: Rod & Bill Freese.
