David Wayne Timmermann, 76, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Birkwood Village in Fort Madison after having suffered several strokes. He was born on June 4, 1950 in Fort Madison, IA to Frederick & Martha Dotzmeier Timmermann. He graduated from Aquinas High School on May 29, 1969. That same year, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving with honor for two years. He married Billie Jo Martin on August 4, 2000 in Kahoka, MO. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2016. They had no children. He worked for the City of Fort Madison Water Department for many years. David is survived by two cousins and was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1-brother & 1-sister.
