Emma “Jane” Hill, 89, of Fort Madson, IA, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 7:44 AM at her home.
She was born on December 19, 1936 in Coushatta, LA to W.A. and Frances Tipton Hall. Jane was a Deputy Clerk of Court at the Lee County Courthouse and retired after thirty years of service. She enjoyed working in her yard, especially her flower beds. She was a longtime member of Joy Baptist Church. Jane was a very faithful person and her love for the Lord, her Church and her family was known to all that knew her.
Survivors include her children, Glenn (Jeannie) of St. Louis, MO, Nancy Hill of Ft. Madison, Rodney Hill of Starbase, TX and David Hill of Ft. Madison; seven grandchildren, Kristen (Rusty) Brookhiser, Matthew Hill, Eric Hill, Jackson Hill, Benjamin Hill, Landon Hill and Ryan Hill; three great grandchildren Kaitlyn (John) Walter, Hunter Brookhiser and Ryder Brookhiser; nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Nelson; sisters, Frances “Bonne” Wright and Peggy Landreaux and her brother, Jack Hall.
The funeral service for Jane will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 11 AM at Joy Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Beal officiating. The family will meet with loved ones from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory is in care of the arrangements.
