Janet S. Lawler, 65, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at her home.
She was born on June 22, 1961 in Ft. Madison to Harry and Betty Holland Staub. On November 18, 1999 she married Francis “Frank” Lawler III in Carthage, IL and he passed away on October 19, 2021. Janet worked at Sheaffer Pen, IAAP, Hardees and lastly the Daily Democrat. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting and bowling. Janet loved animals, especially her dogs.
Survivors include three sisters, Donna Warner, Carolyn (John) Dunlap and Diana (Rod) Garrett all of Ft. Madison; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister Charlene Warner.
