Jeffrey Lynn Kramer, 79, of Wever, IA, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 5:54 PM at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 21, 1946 in Ft. Madison to Richard and Dorothy Cook Kramer. On April 23, 1966 he married Dorothy Anderson in Ft. Madison. Jeff was a farmer and also a union welder. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and also the Wever Volunteer Fire Department for thirty-five years where he served as chief. Jeff was a talented woodworker, loved running his bulldozer and traveling. He also enjoyed volunteering and delivering meals for the Ft. Madison Community Thanksgiving dinner with his granddaughter. Most of all he loved being outside and spending time in the shop having a beer and visiting with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Kramer of Wever; one son, Todd Kramer of Chicago, IL; three daughters, Becky (Jens) Carlsen of Ft. Madison, Kelly (Lonnie) Timmerman of Donnellson and Stacie (Jeremy) Gordon of Ft. Madison; nine grandchildren; Grace and Anna Kramer, Samantha Louck, Morgan Pieper, Blake Carle, Tori and Isaac Timerman, Jaycie and Maylie Gordon; six great grandchildren and two great grandsons whom with arrive in July; two sisters, Kathy LeMaster of Wayland, MO and Christine Walter of Burlington; three brothers, Ralph (Denise) Kramer of Nampa, ID, Mark (Julie) Kramer of West Point and Neil (Kim) Kramer of Ft. Madison; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Kramer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home with the family meeting friends from 4-6 PM. The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
