Larry Dale Featheringill, 75, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 12 AM at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
He was born on September 16, 1949 in Ft. Madison to John and Goldie VanPelt Featheringill. On July 11, 1960 Larry married Sandra Wolfe in Ft. Madison. Larry worked at DuPont and retired after 35 plus years of service. He enjoyed fishing, working on old cars and his morning routine at the cabin with his friends. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, even the things he may have broken. Larry was an avid duck and snow goose hunter Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Featheringill of Ft. Madison; one daughter, Amy (Pat) Wehrle of Ft. Madison; three grandchildren, Alyssa (Ryan) Stinson of Montrose, Carly (Dalton) Mabeus of Ft. Madison and Jake Wehrle of Ft. Madison; three great granddaughters, Saylor and Soren Stinson and Emery Mabeus; his brother, Gary (Marianne) Featheringill of Ft. Madison; nieces and nephews and his beloved dog/Sweetie Pie, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa and his parents.
Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will meet with friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
