Leland B. Edwards, 78, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 6:19 PM at his home.
He was born on July 30, 1945 in Ft. Madison to Bailey and Helen Boyle Edwards. On November 22, 1968 he married Elizabeth Ihde in Colusa, IL and she passed away on June 21, 2020. Leland worked in maintenance most of his life. He loved anything to do with cars. In retirement, Leland and Elizabeth spent time in Cedar Key, FL where he enjoyed going to car shows and fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy (Will) Conlee of Ft. Madison; two grandchildren, Drew and Addison Conlee of Ft. Madison and his beloved cat, Oliver. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will meet with friends from 12-2 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A Private family burial will be held at a later date in Oakland Cemetery.
