Malcolm C. Parks, 54, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:43 PM at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center ER in Ft. Madison. He was born on January 26, 1971 in Grand Rapids, MI to Arthur and Nellie Peay Parks and also raised by his stepmom, Kathy Parks. Malcolm proudly served in the US Navy. He worked at Hy-Vee and McDonalds for many years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved to cook and grill. Most of all Malcolm loved to visit with people and never knew a stranger.
Survivors include two daughters, Nellie Parks of Chicago and Oshiana Wade of Hamilton, IL; four grandchildren, Deandre Boswell Jr., Liam Addison, Trayvin Wade-Smith and Mekhi Wade; his siblings, Chris Parks, Marilyn Peay, Carolyn Peay and Kizzy Parks and his stepmom, Kathy Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established in his memory and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
