Markus Lee Nelson, age 72 of Ft. Madison passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 3:33 PM at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Ft. Madison.
He was born on December 5, 1952 in Ft. Madison to Richard and Betty Marsh Nelson. On June 8, 1974 Mark married Elaine Powers in Ft. Madison. Mark was a lifelong employee at Pinnacle and retired on December 5, 2017. He enjoyed camping and most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Nelson of Ft. Madison; one son, Travis Nelson of Ft. Madison; one daughter, Lindsey (Lee) Fisher of West Des Moines; four grandchildren, Taylor, Carter, Olivia, Aubree; his mother, Betty Nelson of Ft. Madison and a brother, Dennis Nelson of Ft. Madison. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard.
Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com
