Mary E. Fedler, 88, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 2:24 AM at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
She was born on March 8, 1938 in Carthage to Glen and Inez Hartman Kline.  On October 26, 1963 she married Phillip Fedler in Ft. Madison.  Together they had two daughters, Phyllis and Judy. Judy passed away on March 6, 2023 and Phil passed away on August 18, 2023.  Mary was a member of Holy Family Parish.  She was an avid bowler and continued playing at the Kensington on the Wii.  Mary loved playing cards and doing puzzles; especially with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, watching the game show network, baking, cooking and was especially known for her fried chicken.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis (Bob) Porter of Wever; son-in-law, Ken Beebe of Ft. Madison; four grandchildren, Bobby (Tina Hauck) Porter, Bethany (Rob) Ferguson, Kendall Beebe and Alexus Beebe; five great grandchildren, Benjamin, William and Wyatt Ferguson and Vanessa and Samantha Golowach; one sister, Dorothy (Delno) Hein of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter; five brothers and three sisters.
The funeral service for Mary will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Chad Savage officiating.  The family will meet with friends from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
