Michele “Mike”  P. Watson, 89, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, April 27. 2026 at 5:40 PM at the Kensington.
He was born on August 7, 1936 in Ft. Madison to Harold and Leona Nuebel Watson.  On July 2, 1954 he married Phyllis Graham in Ft. Madison and she passed away on September 5, 2015.  Mike owned and operated Watson’s Conoco/Sinclair for thirty-five years.  Mike was a member of the Moose and the Eagles. He and Phyllis traveled on many motorcycle trips throughout the years.  He also enjoyed having coffee with his buddies and tinkering on cars. 
Survivors include one son, Greg (Julie) Watson of Ft. Madison; daughter in law, Joni Watson of Dallas City; four grandchildren, Travis Watson, Stacy Watson, Kristyn Gerst and Heather Watson; two great grandchildren, Jase Watson and Jaelyn Smith; two brothers, Harold (Bonnie) Watson of Rockford, Il and Thomas (Judy) Watson of Topeka, KS.   He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Mike and brother, Robert.
