Robert “Jerry” Bergman, 75, of Donnellson, IA, passed away at 5:05 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 12, 1949 in Denver, CO to Joseph H. & Dorothy L. Feightner and grew up in Keokuk & Montrose. He graduated from Central Lee High School in 1968. He married the love of his life, Joyce F. Harris on February 11, 2004 in Keokuk, IA. He worked at Fruehauf for 22 ½ years with his brother-in-law, Wendell Groene. He then worked at Shipley Construction for 20 years and enjoyed working with Leonard, James & Bryan. He had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, muscle cars, especially Mustangs, the Iowa Hawkeyes & Chicago Bears. He dearly loved his dog, Addie Mae.
Jerry is survived by: his wife: Joyce Bergman of Donnellson, IA; 1-son: Josh (Alicia) Bergman of Altoona, IA; 1-step son: Matt (Tiffany) Rhoades of Fort Madison, IA; 4-grandsons: Davin & Braxton Bergman & Greyson & Hudson Rhoades; 2-brothers: Joseph (Rose) Bergman of Montrose, IA & Thomas (Mary) Bergman of Iowa City, IA; 2-cousins: Betsy Hutton & Susan Feightner and several brother & sister in laws. He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-brother: John Bergman & 1-cousin: Sarah Godwin.
