Roger J. Gehle, 85, of Ft. Madison passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 7:06 PM at Birkwood Village in Ft. Madison.
He was born on November 15, 1939 in Ft. Madison to Roy and Ruth Hutton Gehle. On July 2, 1966 he married Patricia Salmon in Miami, OK. Roger was the owner and operator of Gehle’s Television Service for thirty years. Following retirement he worked at Helling Pharmacy and Hy-Vee Pharmacy for a total of ten years. He loved riding his motorcycle in the mountains and throughout the countrysides. Roger also enjoyed boating, photography and had a passion for music. Most of all Roger enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gehle of Ft. Madison; one daughter, DeAnna (Shane) McCallister of LeClaire, IA; two sons, Bill (David) Gehle of Seattle, WA and Daniel (Ramha) Gehle of Ft. Madison; two grandchildren, LeeAnn Wiegand and Danyelle Wiegand Fisher and six great grandchildren, Madalyn, Nicholas and Alivia Wiegand, Chase and Tanner Ashburn and Natalie Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and there will be no services. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
