Ronald M. Watson, 73, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.  He was born on July 30, 1951 in Fort Madison, IA to Maurice & Mary Frye Watson.  He married Patricia A. McChesney on July 24, 1971 at the Santa Fe Methodist Church in Fort Madison.  He owned and operated Watson Distributing in Fort Madison for many years.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Ron is survived by: his wife: Pam Watson of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: Chad (Shannon) Watson of Ankeny, IA & Michael (Shayna) Watson of Bloomington, IL; 2-grandsons: Maurice “Mo” (Lauren) Watson of Ankeny, IA & Max Watson of Ankeny, IA and 1-sister: Marilyn Philpott of Scottsdale, AZ.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 1-son: Matthew Watson & 1-brother-in-law: Mike Philpott.
