Ruth A. Salata, 79, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 9:22 AM at the Bloomfield Care Center.
She was born on July 1, 1946 in Ft. Madison to George and Gladys Saddler Salata. Ruth served in the US Navy and loved to read. She worked several clerical positions in different states.
Survivors include One brother, Mike (Cathy) Salata of Franklin; one sister, Cindy (Robert) Hunt of The Woodlands, TX; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and a private family graveside service will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date.
