King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - Sandra S. Parrish, 63, Fort Madison

Sandra S. Parrish, 63, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 6:33 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA.  She was born on January 11, 1962 in Burlington, IA to Maurice “Junior” & Marjorie Miller Ireland.  She married John Peitz on June 12, 1982.  They later divorced.  She worked in the office at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Mt. Pleasant, IA and was a member of the Denmark Congregational United Church of Christ where she was formerly a Sunday School teacher.  She enjoyed arts & crafts, especially making wreaths.  She was always available to lend a helping hand to anybody in need.  Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.
Sandi is survived by: 1-son: Jason (Vincent Gross) Peitz of Tiffin, IA; 1-daughter: Jennifer (Austin) Pranger of Fort Madison, IA; 4-grandchildren: Veronica Pranger, Bennett Peitz, Isabelle Pranger & Brighton Peitz; her mother: Marjorie Ireland of Wever, IA and several aunts & uncles.  She was preceded in death by her father & 1-sister, Deb Ireland.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  Following the visitation, Sandy will be cremated.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Chad Savage officiating.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for Sandi’s grandchildren’s education.  Online condolences to the Parrish family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
