Sandra S. Scholl, 80, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away at 9:45 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 surrounded by family.
She was born on July 30, 1944 in Keokuk to Ernest and Dorothy Kite Curtis. On March 14, 1989 she married Gary O. Scholl in Montrose, IA and he passed away on November 12, 2019. Sandra worked for the Lee County Sheriff Department as a jailor and dispatcher and retired after twenty-four years of service. She was an avid crocheter and enjoyed reading and playing games on her computer and tablet.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney (Cheryl) Languell of Donnellson and Douglas (Jenny) Languell of Ft. Madison; three grandchildren, Colton (Katie) Languell, Keilie Languell and Kenzie Languell and two great grandchildren, Maverick and Ashton She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two sisters, Marilyn Poss and Carolyn Pinto.
Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will meet with friends from 10-11 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for St. Jude Childrens’ Hospital and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
