Steven Einar Hanson, 66, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 12:52 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison. He was born on January 24, 1959 in Rockford, IL to Roy & Maybelle Pingel Hanson. He married Mary Burchett and she preceded him in death on September 17, 2021. He enjoyed playing his guitar, shooting pool, building models and working on cars.
Steve is survived by: 1-daughter: Katie Wolfram of Wisconsin; 1-granddaughter: Maggie May Wolfram of Wisconsin; 1-sister: Royce King of Fort Madison, IA & 1-brother: Douglas (Thomas Staples) Hanson of Cochran, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
