114th KIDDIE PARADE

Korschgen parade committee to meet Sunday

Volunteers interested in helping can join meeting at Moose Lodge at 4:30 p.m.

FORT MADISON The 114th annual Charlie Korschgen 4th of July Kiddie parade committee will be having a public meeting on Sunday May 3, 2026 at 4:30 p.m., at the Moose Lodge, 618 Avenue G, to continue plans for this year’s parade.
All interested are welcome to attend the meeting and suggestions welcome to make the parade a highlight of our nation’s 250th birthday.
It is designed for kids, but hopefully a lot of adults will join in the celebration that will start in the 1500 block of Avenue G at 10am on July 4,
No pre-registration is necessary – just show up! Competitive entries and non-competitive entries are welcome as prize money and trophies will only be awarded to competitive entries. The registration table will open at 8:30 am.

All youth can register for several free new bicycles and other gifts donated by area merchants that will be announced of end of parade in Moose Parking lot. 
The Loyal Order of Moose will provide treats for all taking part in the event.
The parade committee operates from 501C1 non- profit donations which can be mailed to PO Box 243, Fort Madison, Ia. 52627. Donations will also be accepted on the day of parade.
