FORT MADISON – The Fort Madison Lady Hounds had three girls in double figures as they rolled Clark County 50-33 in non-conference girls' basketball action Tuesday night at the Hound Dome.
The win is the fourth straight for Fort Madison and fifth in their last six games.
Hadley Wolfe had 16 to lead Fort Madison. Dayonna Davis had 10 and Halle Menke had 11 in the win.
It took the Lady Hounds a quarter to get revved up, but then a 17-4 2nd quarter run set the tone for the rest of the game as Fort Madison stretched to a 30-14 lead at the break.
The Indians would cut the lead to seven at the end of the third quarter, and the Hounds would again find a resurgence in the fourth, outscoring Clark County 16-6 to get the win.
The Lady Hounds improve to 10-4 on the season and stand at 6-1 in the conference, tied with Burlington for tops. The Grayhounds come to the Hound Dome on Friday with conference title implications on the line. Fort Madison then entertains Burlington Notre Dame in a Saturday afternoon matchup.
