FORT MADISON – The Fort Madison girls won the ladies' Lee County Invitational at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course Wednesday.
The Lady Hounds shot a team 389 led by Natalie Wright’s 87. Wright was runner-up to Keokuk’s Delaney Ruhl, who carded an 84 with a 40 on the front and a 44 on the back for medalist.
Kylie Lumino was two off the pace with an 89. Jayce Fullenkamp had a 103, followed by Brenna Gathers with a 110.
Keokuk was second with a 410. Carrigan Morris came in the 18-hole event with a 93 for the Chiefs. Kendra Boatman (111) and Ayla Zinnert (122) rounded out the scoring golfers for Keokuk.
Holy Trinity Catholic captured 3rd place despite missing their top two golfers. The Crusaders shot a 498 with Emma Mohrfeld and Calli Kruse leading the way with a 110. Adalyn Kruse shot a 120 and Megan Holtkamp rounded out the scoring with a 158.
The Central Lee girls took 4th place behind a 112 from Lyla Smith. Ava Derr (134), Summer Hunold (136), and Makayla Mertens (138) were bunched up in the 2-4 spots from the Lady Hawks.
