WASHINGTON — Teagan Snaadt scored twice, and Natalie Randolph and Hadley Wolfe added goals, as Fort Madison’s girls soccer team defeated Washington 4-0 on Wednesday.
The Bloodhounds, 10-2 overall, finished Southeast Conference play in second place with an 8-2 record, with their only two losses coming to conference champion Burlington.
Snaadt scored Fort Madison’s first goal with 24:13 left in the first half. Randolph followed with a goal with 15:19 to play, and the Bloodhounds led 2-0 at halftime.
Snaadt added her second goal with 13:17 to play in the second half. Wolfe scored 40 seconds later to close the scoring.
Olivia Kraus and Molly Schulte each had an assist for the Bloodhounds, who had 10 shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Taylor Johnson had one save.
"The girls did a good job on a hot day,” coach Carrie Burken said. "The defense played solid and kept the number of opportunities Washington had on goal to a minimum. The forwards put in a lot of effort to win the ball back and score a couple of goals off of turnovers. The midfield stepped up to control the ball more in the second half as well. Overall a good team win.”
