LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Leadership Committee is inviting area non-profit organizations to submit proposals for projects that will affect positive change in Lee County. Two project proposals will be selected for implementation by the Lee County Leadership Class of 2025. Proposals should be specific, concise, and attainable within an 8-10-week timeframe.
Lee County Leadership is a collaborative effort program between the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, Keokuk Area Chamber of Commerce, Lee County Economic Development Group and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Lee County. Participants will benefit from gaining a comprehensive understanding of community leadership and its significance, developing core competencies linked to resilience, and acquiring practical tools and techniques to address pertinent community issues and harness potential opportunities.
The 2024/2025 class has accepted 9 participants across Lee County. Classes and events are held in various locations throughout the area from October 2024 through May 2025.
Organizations wishing to submit a project for consideration may contact the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce at 319-372-5471 or chamber@fortmadison.com to discuss the program or to request an application.
