FORT MADISON – Tickets are being gobbled up for the first-ever Tri-State Rodeo Summer RoundUp, but a few special opportunities still exist for those who have been keeping an eye on the inaugural Fort Madison event.
Event Chairman Tony Johnson said there are special tables of four that are remaining in the new VIP area that are being made available at a limited time price of $420 per table, or $105 per person with the whole table being reserved.
“We do have some tables available that weren’t originally available as we worked through our sponsors. But we found out we do have some of those tables left for the public to take advantage of,” he said.
“It’s called our party patio. Those are four-person tables available for purchase and that’s a unique setting. We have a handful of those in the new VIP section. Those are $105 per person, and you have to reserve the whole table for $420.
"The focal point of the rodeo grounds is that new VIP section. We wanted to get some people the opportunity to have a little better seating, while doing some neat things on the arena floor, too."
The event, which is slated for Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21, brings in nationally known country acts Ashley Cooke and Dylan Scott on Friday.
Headlining the event on Friday, June 20, is Dylan Scott! Scott is a powerful vocalist known for his deep, unmistakable drawl and his blend of old-soul songwriting with a youthful spirit. The ACM-nominated, multi-Platinum singer has achieved four No. 1 singles on the radio (“My Girl,” “Nobody,” “New Truck,” and “Can’t Have Mine”), along with a Top 5 hit, “Hooked.”
Opening for Scott is Ashley Cooke, who has amassed over 352 million global streams with chart-climbing hits like “Never Til Now” (featuring Brett Young) and "Your Place." Cooke has made Ryman and Grand Ole Opry debuts and has appeared on national TV shows such as ABC’s The Bachelorette and NBC’s TODAY.
On Saturday, June 21, the event will be headlined by Rodney Atkins, a country music artist with six No. 1 singles, eight Top 5 singles, and 3.8 billion career streams. Known for hits like "Farmer's Daughter," "These Are My People," and "Cleaning This Gun," Atkins continues to be recognized as one of the most powerful voices in country music.
Opening for Atkins is Easton Corbin, a talented artist who has been captivating fans for over a decade with his rich baritone voice and distinctive blend of traditional and contemporary country sounds. Corbin has two No. 1 singles ("A Little More Country Than That" and "Roll With It") and seven Top 10 singles, including "A Girl Like You," "All Over the Road," and "Baby Be My Love Song."
Nashville artist Bobby McClendon is the after-party entertainment on the NUTRL Stage, and Johnson said he’s a must-see, too.

“He has great energy. It’s a good show and I’ve seen him a couple times. We’re bringing in another stage for him and it will be out in the concourse near the food vendors,” he said.
The new summer offering from the Operating Committee of Tri-State Rodeo brings a more intimate feel to summer entertainment in Fort Madison.
The stage will be facing the north traditional VIP section about halfway out onto the arena grounds. Johnson said that gave the event a little more flexibility without knowing how the event would be received and how ticket sales would go. But he said it also creates a different feel than the rodeo.
“The stage is going to be set up in the middle of the arena facing the VIP. So if you’re familiar  with the rodeo grounds that would be like the 50-yard line. We were trying to create a smaller footprint because the rodeo grounds are so big. When you don’t have 8,000 to 10,000 people, it can look a little empty,” he said.
“People like to be up close, so we were trying to create a smaller environment, but still offer some really good seating and a great experience. We didn’t know what ticket sales would look like, so we came up with an idea that can be adjusted and we can move that stage  back or up depending on the crowds.”
The committee set a sellout mark of 3,000 tickets
There is reserved seating in the VIP bleachers on the arena’s north side. There is also general admission on the grounds, as well as a special Party Pit ticket which is a designated area right up front by the stage.
Floor tickets Friday are $50 each, while the Party Pit is $65. Bleacher tickets in the VIP section are $80 and then $105 each for party patio with a purchase of four tickets.
Saturday prices are $40 for the floor, $55 for the party pit. The other seat prices remain the same at $80 and $105.
Johnson said there is a combo ticket for both nights on the arena floor. That two-day event ticket is $67 for the floor and $87 for the Party Pit.

The Fort Madison Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business After Hours on Thursday, June 19 from 5:30 to about 9 p.m. StumpTown will be taking the stage at 6 p.m. to allow the arena to do some sound testing and get a dry run on the main event Friday and Saturday. The Business After Hours is open to the public and Cole Haus pizza will be on site.
