Lowenberg, Snaadt medal at HTC dual

Central Lee boys win with a 169

FORT MADISON – Central Lee sophomore Mylan Lowenberg was medalist at the Holy Trinity dual meet at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course, while HTC’s Teagan Snaadt was medalist in the girls' event Friday in Fort Madison.
Lowenberg shot a four-over 40 on the back nine to win the boys' event. Lowenberg birdied the 340 yard par 4 and parred four of the last five holes. Runner-up medalist was the Hawks’ Caleb Larson who shot a 42 to lead Central Lee to the win.
The Hawks put up a team score of 169 to Holy Trinity’s 199. Blake Mohrfeld shot a 47, and Andy Mehmert had a 48 to lead the Crusaders. Luke Hellige carded a 50, while Nathan Box and Max Kruse each had a 54.
Carson Morrison shot a 43 for Central Lee, while Bo Herdrich and Kaden Swan both recorded 44s for the Hawks.
Snaadt shot a 51 for the Lady Crusaders and Emma Mohrfeld carded a 59 after shooting a 39 over the first seven holes. Elizabeth Griffin shot a 63 and Adalyn Kruse finished with a 69 for HTC.
The Central Lee girls were led by Marie Young’s 62. Sydney Gram and Reegyn Scott each shot a 63.
