Meet and greets set for state house candidates

Griffin, Watkins to meet with voters this week

LEE COUNTY - Several meet and greets have been set for the upcoming March 11 special election for House District 100.
Republican Blaine Watkins will be meeting with voters on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Eagle's Club in Fort Madison, 4821 Avenue O. Watkins was nominated several weeks ago by the Lee County Republican Party at a convention in Donnellson.
Democrat Nannette Griffin will be meeting with voters at Lost Canvas Coffee Shop in Keokuk, 719 Main Street from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The public is welcome to both events.
Lee County voters will also have the opportunity to have their questions answered by the candidates during a forum that will be sponsored by the Lee County Farm Bureau.
This event will be held live in-person at the Pilot Grove Community Room located at 506 N Main Street in Donnellson, Iowa.
Early and absentee voting will take place at the Auditor's office in Fort Madison at 933 Avenue H from March 3 to March 10, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Early voting will also take place on Saturday, March 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the auditor's office. In Keokuk, early voting will take place from March 3-March 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On March 11, voting will take place at voting centers across the county from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. including:

• Heritage Center - 508 Main Street, Keokuk
• Hidden Tower Event Center - 2416 340th Street, Keokuk
• Ivor Fowler Center - 710 Main Street, Montrose
• Pilot Grove Savings Bank Community Room - 506 N. Main Street, Donnellson
• West Point American Legion - 309 5th Street, West Point
