Nye wins Fareway's $5,000 grocery giveaway

FORT MADISON - A local woman was awarded $5,000 in grocery shopping as a result of an online contest with Fareway Corporation.
According to a release Thursday, Jennifer "Jenny" Nye was the lucky winner of the corporate contest.

In January, Fareway Corporate hosted an online contest giving away $5,000 for groceries to any qualifying 18+ year old living within 40 miles of a Fareway location. This contest crossed over six states and 130+ locations. Fareway and Iowa Corn sponsored the giveaway.
Nye said she didn’t believe the phone call thinking it was a scam.
Present for the giveaway yesterday were Store Manager Derek Swan, Meat Market Manager Keith Hehr and Supervisor Wesson Kingma.
