DONNELLSON – The Green Acres Pool House fundraising committee is proud to announce a $25,000 donation from Pilot Grove Savings Bank in support of building a new, ADA-compliant pool house at Green Acres Golf Course. This significant gift from a leading local business marks a strong start to the fundraising campaign.
Matthew Morrison, President/CEO of Pilot Grove Savings Bank and a lifelong resident of Donnellson, shared his thoughts on the donation, "Green Acres has always been a cornerstone of our community, a place where families gather, kids learn to swim, and neighbors connect. Supporting the pool house project is an investment in Donnellson’s future, and we’re proud to be part of something that will benefit our town and the surrounding area for generations to come."

The donation serves as a key milestone in the campaign and sets the tone for additional community and business support. The new pool house will feature modern, ADA-compliant restrooms and changing areas, improved accessibility, secure storage for pool equipment, and for the first time, a roof over the restrooms.
“We are incredibly grateful to Pilot Grove Savings Bank for their leadership and early support,” said Tom Gendron, President of Friends of Green Acres Foundation, LLC (a 501c3 tax deductible organization). “Having a major business in town step forward with such a generous gift speaks volumes and helps establish the foundation for the success of this project. The foundation was created specifically to support the pool house as its first project, and all current donations will go directly toward that effort. Once the pool house is complete, the foundation will continue to serve future improvement projects at Green Acres.”
