LEE COUNTY - The Iowa Resource Enhancement and Protection Program is a program that is funded by the state’s Environmental First Fund (Iowa gaming receipts) and the sale of natural resource license plates.
The REAP program has available funding that allows certain practices that enhance and protect the state’s natural resources to be cost shared. Lee County Soil and Water Conservation District is one of the organizations in the state that are given a yearly allotment of REAP funds. Practices that are commonly but not limited to funding are windbreaks, forest stand improvements and conservation cover.
If you are interested in any of these practices or other conservation practices on your property – please contact The Lee County Soil & Water Conservation District at 319-835-5313 X3 or stop by the USDA Field Office in Donnellson.
