Rodeo pageant contestants announced

FORT MADISON - The Tri-State Rodeo has released this year's candidates  for the 2025 Little Miss Rodeo/All Around Cowboy Contest, which will be held Monday, Sept.1 at 6:30 p.m. on the south side of the TSR Rodeo grounds.
Canisters, with each child’s photo and name, will once again be placed in area businesses from August 8 – August 22. Family and friends can cast a vote by dropping their “spare change” into the canister. There is a prize awarded, to one contestant, for the most money in their canister.
The night of the event, contestants will be interviewed by Miss Rodeo Iowa, and have a chance to showcase their talent. Judges will score the children on personality, attire, interview and talent, however they do not have any knowledge of how much money each contestant has collected in their canister. In the event of a tie, the amount in the canister will help determine the winner.
A portion of the money collected in the canisters goes to Miss Rodeo Iowa. This helps to defray traveling expenses as she competes for the coveted title of Miss Rodeo America in Las Vegas this coming December.
