Timothy R. “Tim” Langford, 55, of Lillian, Alabama, died Thursday morning, December 18, 2025, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
Tim was born July 27, 1970, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of Larry R. and Jane (Huiskamp) Langford. He attended Sts. Peter and Paul School in Nauvoo and was a 1988 graduate of Nauvoo-Colusa High School.
After high school, Tim attended GIT in Los Angeles, California, and pursued a career as a guitarist with the heavy metal rock band, Britannia. In 1992, he returned to the Nauvoo area and enrolled in the Auto Mechanics certificate program at Southeastern Community College at Burlington, Iowa. After completing the course, he worked for Lloyd “Stub” Starr at Starr’s Garage in Nauvoo.
In 1995, Tim moved with his classmate from SCC to Pensacola, Florida, where he lived until building a home at Lillian in 2000.
Tim had a warm, generous personality and enjoyed hosting family and friends at his home. He helped out friends and neighbors with drywall construction and repairs, a skill he picked up along the way. He was a talented chef, cooking often for friends, family and for his friend, Donny’s hunting club buddies, in Central Alabama. He was also very interested in vintage car restoration, especially for his 1966 Chevelle SS.
Tim is survived by his mother: Jane Langford of Nauvoo; aunt: Sr. Julia Huiskamp; uncles: Ed Huiskamp and Gerry Huiskamp; niece: Audria Moylan of Burlington, Iowa, and nephews: Riley Langford of Chicago, Illinois and Derek and Garrett Rogers of Monmouth, Illinois; longtime companion: Kim Monk of Lillian, and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father; sisters: Missy and Amy, and niece: Julia Langford.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo with Father Tony Trosley officiating.
Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Nauvoo.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
