See Yourself Here tour Thursday in FM

FORT MADISON — The Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to take part in the “See Yourself Here” Downtown Property Tour on Thursday, July 31 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, held during the Downtown Summer Market.
This self-guided event gives visitors a rare opportunity to step inside 11 available downtown spaces, meet with property owners, and imagine the possibilities for new businesses, studios, offices, or creative ventures.
A property map will be available at each participating location or can be accessed in advance on the Fort Madison Chamber Facebook page or on the website.
“This is about helping people picture what’s possible,” said Savanna Collier, Executive Director of the Fort Madison Area Chamber. “Downtown is full of opportunity, and this tour is a fun, informal way to explore spaces, ask questions, and get inspired.”
In addition to the tour, a new online resource page has been created to support current and future entrepreneurs. Visitors will find information on:

• Local, state, and federal incentive programs

• Zoning and permitted uses in the downtown district
• Entrepreneurial tools and startup resources
• Guidance from the Chamber, the City, and the Southeast Iowa Small Business Development Center

The tour is free and open to all — whether you’re actively looking for a location or just curious about what downtown Fort Madison has to offer.
