SEIRMC sets Continuous Glucose support group

Group to help those using CGMs to monitor blood sugar levels

Posted

WEST BURLINGTON - Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center’s Diabetes Education program is starting a quarterly Continuous Glucose Meter (CGM) Support Group.
This support group is designed for anyone who currently wears a CGM device or is interested in getting one. What once was a unique device is now becoming more common for insulin dependent patients.
The first meeting will be held on Friday, March 17, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the West Burlington campus in the Family Medicine Mercy Plaza, Healthy Living Classroom, Suite 159, located at 1225 S. Gear Avenue in West Burlington, Iowa. Supportive family and friends are also welcome to attend.
The CGM Support Group will provide support and education for participants along with discussion of the latest news regarding CGMs. It is an opportunity to engage with other members of the group with a diagnosis of diabetes, and to share day to day concerns of living with the condition.
Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center is prepared and committed to caring for you and your loved ones. Our current safety precautions require that facemasks be worn by all patients and visitors in clinical areas.
