Seven in line for small business honors

FORT MADISON – The Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the nominees for the 2026 Small Business of the Year and Micro Business of the Year awards. These awards recognize outstanding businesses that demonstrate excellence in service, community involvement, and overall impact on the Fort Madison area.
This year’s nominees include:
Small Business of the Year Nominees:

• Kruse Concrete Construction
Micro Business of the Year Nominees:
• Anderson Ranch Miniature Highlands

• Mary Martha Rosaries
• Mohrfeld Manufacturing & Design
• The Toddy Pop Company
“These businesses represent the heart of our community,” said Savanna Collier, Executive Director of the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce. “Their dedication, innovation, and commitment to Fort Madison make a lasting impact, and we are proud to recognize their contributions.”
Award recipients will be announced at the annual Small Business Appreciation Breakfast, held on Friday, May 8 at 7:30 a.m. at Turnwater Bar & Grill. The event brings together local business leaders and community members for a morning of celebration, connection, and recognition.
Tickets for the event are $15 per person for members and their employees ($20 for non-members), or attendees can sponsor a table of eight for $200. Reservations are requested by April 24 and can be made by contacting the Chamber directly.
