LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Sheriff candidate asks for votes

Posted
I want to thank all of you who have taken the time out of your lives to get to know me. Whether it was at an event, by phone call, text message, in passing, in public, or on your door step. Win or lose one thing is for sure, we have a lot of great people in this county.
When I began this race I had one goal in mind and that was to better this community that I grew up in. I said from the start that this is not about me, but about us. Today, I still stand by that statement more than ever.
It’s been an honor to represent the vast majority of the Law Enforcement officers in the area. To have them behind me, reassures my decision to run was the correct one. They have been there every step of the way and I wouldn’t want to be in this with anyone else. Many of you have put your careers on the line to stand with me and I will be forever grateful for each and everyone of you.
My family has been scrutinized and judged by many. If you ask my wife, she would tell you that if she knew what our family would have to endure, she would never have wanted me to go through this process. I am not a fan of cutting down someone’s character for political gain especially with false statements and hidden agendas.
Throughout this process I have been nothing but honest. I have told many of you that I might not always tell you what you want to hear, but I will tell you where I stand. I’ve been transparent and direct, even if it’s unpopular.
Tomorrow Nov 5th, your vote will decide my fate. I respectfully ask that whether you are a Democrat, Republican, or Independent you acknowledge the amount of law enforcement support I have received. If elected, I promise to deliver the best Lee County’s Sheriff’s Office this area has ever seen. I love this county and I can assure you that I will proudly serve and protect this community for the right reasons.
Thank you, Lee County!
