FORT MADISON – Senior Teagan Snaadt made the most of her senior night, scoring a season-high 25, as the Lady Crusaders downed New London 55-40 in Southeast Iowa Super Conference ladies’ basketball.
The win moves HTC to 9-4 in conference play, good enough for third place as of Tuesday night. They are 12-5 overall.
New London (0-13, 0-19) held a two-point lead headed into the 2nd quarter at 12-10, but Holy Trinity would get the lead for good about three minutes into the quarter and stretch it to 25-20 at the break.
New London would hang around in the third quarter, outscoring HTC by a point trailing 32-28, but would erupt for 23 points in the final period as the Tigers wore down.
Holy Trinity heated up from long-range as sophomore Elizabeth Griffin hit a couple 3-balls, as did Snaadt. Snaadt had 12 of her 25 in the final eight minutes. HTC was playing without post Adalyn Kruse who averages 10 points and 10 boards per outing.
The Crusaders also honored senior Anna Bendlage before the game, playing in her final season at HTC.
Griffin finished with 14 for HTC. Ellie Hellman and Olivia Bendlage each had six.
