Hawks, Crusaders win in Shoot-Out

Swan’s 22 leads Central Lee over L-M
LETTS – Owen Swan lit up the nets in the first half of the Hawks' 75-39 win over Louisa-Muscatine Friday night in the Southeast Iowa Superconference Shoot-Out.
Swan erupted for 22 points in the first half including six 3-pointers to push a 50-22 first half advantage that the Falcon’s wouldn’t encroach upon the rest of the night.
The win moves the Hawks to 10-9 overall, and they remain in fifth in the SEISC at 8-6.
Sophomore Brett Cook had 12 points, while Carson Morrison and Brayden Wyrick each chipped in with 10 in the win.

Holy Trinity snaps Pekin win streak in Shoot-Out
PACKWOOD – Luke Hellige again led the Crusaders in a 76-45 win over Pekin in the SEI Super Conference Shoot-Out at Pekin.
The Crusaders shook off the Panthers about three minutes into the game tied at 7 and held Pekin to just eight points the rest of the first half building a 40-15 lead and never looked back. Layne Rung had 15 points for Holy Trinity, Corbin Van Niewaal had 13, and Adam Sobczak broke into double figures with 10 points. The win moves the Crusaders to 16-4 overall with a 10-4 SEISC-South mark. They travel to Clark County Monday.
