Task force arrests Keokuk man on felony and misdemeanor drug chagres

LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk man on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
Robby Lee Alberts, age 50, of Keokuk, is charged with: Manufacturing marijuana, a class D felony; Possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, a class D felony; Failure to affix a drug tax stamp (8 counts), all are class D felonies; Possession of a firearm by a felon (7 counts), all are class D felonies; Possession of a controlled substance (Alprazolam) 2nd offense, an aggravated misdemeanor; and Possession of marijuana 2nd offense, a serious misdemeanor.
The criminal charges came after a search warrant that was executed at Alberts’s residence. During the search of Alberts’s residence, the Lee County Narcotics Task Force discovered items that facilitated these criminal charges. Alberts was later arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force.
The Lee County Narcotics Task Force were assisted by the Keokuk Police Department and the Fort Madison Police Department. The defendant in this case is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
