Task force gets FM woman on felony, other drug charges

LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Fort Madison woman on Felony and Misdemeanor drug charges.

Andrea Jean Hoenig age 38, of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested on 9/28/22 in the 2300 block of 263rd Ave in Fort Madison.
Hoenig is charged with one count of Delivery of more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, a class B Felony, one count of Possession of more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, a class B Felony.  one count of Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Deliver, a class D Felony, one count of Possession of a schedule IV Controlled Substance (Alprazolam), a Serious Misdemeanor, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor, three counts of Drug Tax Stamp Violation, all class D Felonies.

The arrest of Hoenig stems from an investigation after a traffic stop that was conducted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.  Hoenig was found to be in possession of controlled substances and drug equipment at the time of the stop.

The Delivery of more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine charge stems from an ongoing investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in which Hoenig was allegedly involved with selling and/or distributing methamphetamine in the Fort Madison area.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force was assisted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.  The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
