LEE COUNTY - Lee County Health Department-Hospice has been helping families honor and remember their loves with their Tree of Love since 1992. The 2025 ornament is “Gold Finch,” designed by Mystic Images and can be purchased for $20.00 to be displayed on the tree in the LCHD lobby. When purchased the name of the person to be honored or remembered will be printed on a decorative tag and attached to the ornament.
The ornaments will be displayed on the Hospice Tree of Love located at LCHD lobby from December 8 to January 5, 2025.
The unveiling ceremony with the reading of the names is Wednesday, December 10 at 11:30 a.m. at LCHD’s new location at 5001 Avenue O, Fort Madison. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
“We are pleased to have this honored tradition continue among our move and to have the ceremony be at our new location,” said Becky Fader, LCHD Hospice and Homecare Program Director. “This year’s ornament is special because several of our Hospice volunteers suggested the goldfinch as an idea.”
Anyone wanting the ornaments prior to the holiday may come to LCHD to pick up or mark on their order form. To purchase an ornament please call 319-372-5225 or 800-458-6672 or stop by LCHD for an order form.
All proceeds from the Tree of Love will go to the LCHD’s Hospice Memorial Fund.
